The Real Aeroplane Club welcomes visitors by air, classic or vintage aircraft in particular.
The aerodrome itself is 5.5 nm north-east of Selby.
The radio frequency is 129.8 MHz.
It has a single grass runway 10/28 which is 850 metres (2,790') long.
All circuits to the south of the airfield at 700 ft. Please avoid the villages of Bubwith, Breighton and Wressle to the north-west and south-west respectively. Join on the south side of the airfield for base leg. Please be aware of the power cables on the western approach.
Normal operating hours 09.00-17.00 hrs - Winter 09.00-17.00 hrs or sunset if earlier.
Noise Abatement: Avoid flying overflying the Villages of Bubwith to the North and Wressle to the South West.
Avoid overflying the ecologically sensitive areas of the River Derwent Valley:
Derwent Ings (SSSI*) to the North West, Lower Derwent Valley (SPA*,SAC*) to the West and Breighton Meadows (SSSI*) to the South West.
*SSSI: Site of Special Scientific Interest
SPA: Special Protection Area
SAC: Special Area of Conservation.
Waivered Airspace: The waivered airspace on the North Side of the airfield which is used for aerobatic/display practice is only available when Alan Marsland or Tony Smith are present at the airfield with immediate effect. Pilots should remain clear of this area at all other times. Wing Walking Aircraft operators have their own display authorisation and are in order using this airspace in the meantime.

Fuel is now available self-service at any time (even outside normal operating hours), payment by major credit/debit cards. Current prices are published on the news page HERE.
PLEASE NOTE: Landing fee of £5 waivered if fuel taken or if a mutual agreement has been made between flying clubs. There are NO LANDING FEES on fly-in days.
Please consider other aircraft when parking and ensure clear access to the fuel pumps.
The Airfield Café is open during regular weekends as well as during our events and sells a variety hot food, tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks. Seating is available inside the crewroom, conservatory and in the picnic area. Fill-up yourselves and support your local airfield!
